I sit on the banks of a river that I know
watching how the water steadily flows

I feel the power and watch it grow

There are times the river seems to overflow

Fathers tell their sons beware
lot of things go wrong out there,
what fathers tell their sons

don't think they could ever fall,
sometimes reach towards the sky
even tell a little lie
Time goes by the sons grow older
every night and every day,
would like to listen to the words
that their fathers say,
I'm standing now and always by his grave,
